RoseThrn82 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Hi! I am waiting for one school who is not giving an admit until after 4/15. (I applied in the second round) Meanwhile I have an admit that wants a answer/reply before then. I really want to go to the program that is not giving the decision until after 4/15. So I have two issues. I need to ask one program to give me an exact time frame that I should have the decision by. On the other hand I need to ask the one I have an admit for to give me more time to give them an answer on whether I will attend. How would you all handle this? Thanks for any suggestions!

I am in a similar situation. I have let the School A know about the admit from School B (without naming it) and asked for an update on my application status. If I don't get an acceptance from (School A) anytime soon, I am leaning towards accepting the offer I have (from School B ). "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." Though, it might not be very uncommon, I am not able to bring myself to ask for an extension from School B, more so as it is offering me funding as well. Wish it wasn't as difficult as it is. *sigh*
RoseThrn82 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) Thanks! I sent an email to the school I haven't heard from yet. Hopefully, I'll get a decision soon and I hope you do too! Edited March 27, 2010 by RoseThrn82
