I’m applying to several PhD programs and was recently accepted (with funding) to a school in the UK. They’ve told me the deadline to accept the scholarship is a date in mid Feb. Since the other programs I’m applying to are in the US, i won’t have decisions back until after interview weekends in Feb/March.
How should I handle this situation? Should I ask for a later deadline from UK school, or should I let other programs know I have an exploding offer? The UK school is one of my top choices, but what’s probably my #1 pick has interview weekend in March.
