If you get rejected and dis the school, it just comes off as desperate and immature. Even something like "accepted, waiting to hear back from better programs" come off as elitist, and can make someone feel like shit if that was their reach school. This might come off as overly sensitive, but the insecurity of grad school applicants is already sky high.
