I also applied to Columbia for the Sound Art program ( a part of the visual arts) and still haven't heard back...

Me too!!! I hope everyone gets in. I didn’t get in to Yale but was accepted to hunter. Does anyone have thoughts on Hunter?

I heard from the painting chair at columbia a few days ago (via phone call), about an interview request. I wouldn't be surprised if different concentrations make calls at different times, though. My interview will be 3/7 or 3/8

hey do you guys know, if you haven't received a phone call for an interview by now, that its a sure rejection? just asking congrats to everyone who got interviews!

Best luck to you! I want to think that photography hasn´t made any calls yet... ? You should be proud of yourself for just being there!! Kudos!

Does anyone know anything about the situation with the grad students last year who demanded a tuition refund? Since it circulated in art world news last year, I haven't heard anything about Columbia's attempts to address the problem with their studios, facilities, and lack of faculty presence. I am really hesitant going into this interview because of this.
