my third notice came today -- accepted to carnegie mellon by phone, for anyone who is waiting.

Waitlisted at rutgers by email notification. Guess I’m going to be waiting even longer to know where I’m headed ?

i just got a letter notification from UC irvine that i've been put on the waitlist, for anyone who applied there.

I interviewed there via skype and was considering it because the funding is so good. What did the students bring up?

Not sure if all the different areas do interviews or not. My interview is via skype. Hope that helps

I have an interview with Columbia for New Genres on 3/12. I'm kind of not into the program tho considering the financial aid sucks and their studios are crumbling lol

Does anyone know anything about the situation with the grad students last year who demanded a tuition refund? Since it circulated in art world news last year, I haven't heard anything about Columbia's attempts to address the problem with their studios, facilities, and lack of faculty presence. I am really hesitant going into this interview because of this.

Mine was honestly trash so maybe that is good news for you and others hahaha. The students were lovely tho, and however it goes they will be there to show you around and even do a therapy session if the presentation doesn't go as planned!

I'm interviewing for sculpture on the 26th too! I I interview at 9:30am, maybe we could meet up after? Anyone else have an interview on the 26th and want to get together? I really want to tour the facilities but I'm not sure if that's a possibility since the whole sculpture department will be occupied with interviews.

from admissions coordinator re: sculpture interview presentations -- "you may prepare a PowerPoint if you like, though I suggest having a folder with the files as back-up just in case the PowerPoint versions are not compatible." same, also confused, will be sure to share whatever info I get from the admissions officer. Is anyone going to be in New Haven the night of Feb 25th? I need somewhere to stay and I can barely afford the flight let alone a hotel so I'm wondering if anyone has any leads. I dislike using airbnb but I"m looking into that now, will share with the group if I find something cheap

hi everyone, congrats to all who got an interview! I will be interviewing for sculpture on early morning feb 26 on campus. I reached out to their admissions coordinator with this question, but I'm wondering if anyone is including additional work in the digital presentation that you didn't have in the portfolio?
