Hi!!!

I graduated with my undergrad in Cinema & TV Arts with a concentration in Media Management 3 years ago.  Over the past 3 years I've been struggling to come to terms with my lack of enthusiasm for any career in the entertainment industry proper, so I've started thinking about grad school.

I have an interest in the archiving and preservation of film assets - film itself, scripts, props - the history of the industry essentially.  I know there are a few MLIS programs that include special collections and archives as a pathway but I'm curious if anyone knows of the best programs for this line of work.

UCLA has a program specifically for Media Archival Studies which seems right up my alley but I'd like to broaden my search so I don't put all my eggs in one basket (and consequently suffer from disappointment!!!!)

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but you might be interested in this conference if it comes up again in the future: http://libraryconference.oscars.org/

It's a small conference, but great if you decide you really do want to stick with film or film-adjacent libraries and archives. They also offered a decent scholarship for students, so it's one to watch.
