futureSLPB Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Does anyone know how St. John's SLP Grad Program is?? I've seen some negative things about it and I'm attending in Fall and kinda worried. I attended St. John's for my undergrad degree and the professors were great and always helped so I'm confused!
Pollitopinpin Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Do you mind sharing these negative things please, i have also heard bad things. I will also be attending but i feel iffy......
futureSLPB Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 I don’t know anyone personally that has gone there for this program. However, I have seen on here there is lack of support from the professors and clinicals can get messy. Hoping thats not true!
Pollitopinpin Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Iv heard the same!! They even have "simulated" sessions in clinic if theres not enough clients coming to their clinic........ Professors do seem nice though but at the end of the day clinic and externship placements are more important.
littlet4lks Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Can't speak on the program itself because I'm an undergrad at a nearby university, but one of my professors who I adore works at the grad school at St. John's. She never really says anything negative about it, just that they get some interesting clients.
