Humanities PhD Applications - USA - Fall 2020

Hello! 

I couldn't find a thread for those preparing to apply for PhDs this year to the US for Fall 2020 admission so I've started this (please point me to a thread if it exists!). This thread is for applicants to get to know each other, ask questions about potential universities, make lists, and most of all: to freak out with. 

About me: I'm looking at history, gender studies, and south asian studies departments. I am interested in gender and legal history of colonial south asia. I'm an international student, from India. I did my B.A at Bard College, New York and M.A at SOAS. So far I am looking keenly at: Columbia (MESAAS), Cornell, Duke, U Michigan (ann arbor), U. Washington, U Wisconsin-Madison, Rutgers U, UChicago, UTexas Austin.
