jag143 Posted August 12, 2019 Share Posted August 12, 2019 Hello i am a student from one of the UCs (Top 20 school in my field) My last year (junior) year has been a pretty rough one, where I have earned 4 Cs and an F (due to academic dishonesty). Profile: Type: Asian Female Major: Applied Math and Economics with minor in business Overall GPA: 3.1 Econ GPA: 3.1 Applied Math GPA: 2.5 Research Experience: 1 paper co authored with a professor in the business school. 2- years of lab assistant ship. 2 summers internship with a reputed company. GRE: Q 167 V160 1. What advice would you give me for wanting to get into a top 30 PhD program in Finance or Economics 2. with my current grades and scores: what programs would accept me? Bird Vision Posted August 13, 2019 Share Posted August 13, 2019 I do not know if a top-30 program will accept you, due to your poor grades and the academic dishonesty. I can't really advise beyond that, as I do not know exactly how your dishonesty will affect you. But maybe you could do a master's degree to compensate for the bad grades?
