DiaryofNewton Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Hey Guys, I am an international student, and I'm gonna apply for several biostat programs. Some of the biostat application should be completed first on SOPHAS. I got a program whose deadline is Dec. 1st. I'm confused about what the deadline means. Is it the deadline for e-submission, or the one for the arrival of all my materials(WES evaluation, GT Scores, etc)? Now the case is that my WES evaluation is delayed so it might arrive at SOPHAS a little bit later than the deadline, will that influence my application? Hope anyone could offer me a clue on this! Thanks Very Much!!

SOPHAS says to try to make sure everything is posted to your application before the deadline (transcripts, test scores, etc). https://sophas.org/faqs/ Some programs do appear to offer some wiggle room for things arriving late, but this may be a case by case situation. https://help.liaisonedu.com/SOPHAS_Applicant_Help_Center/Submitting_and_Monitoring_Your_SOPHAS_Application/Before_and_After_You_Submit_Your_SOPHAS_Application/01_Submitting_and_Completing_Your_SOPHAS_Application If you think these will arrive after the deadline, you should contact the programs now and ask.
cyberwulf Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Usually, December 1st is the deadline for your application being e-submitted. It's OK if some materials arrive after, but obviously you want them to show up as early as possible.
