studygal Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Hi! UPitt is my dream school, but from what I gathered they don't offer many merit based scholarships (their website says they don't offer GA/TAships either). Has anyone received a merit based scholarship upon admission, or know how common it is to receive one? Would love to make it work, but can't do the 60k pricetag without a little help. TIA! bibliophile222 1
Irina_Phoenix Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Hi, there! I have some partial information, as I am an undergrad Sr there. It’s true they do not really offer a lot of funding positions. There was a girl who had one to be an undergrad advisor last year. She’s no longer an UG ADV, but is still at the school. I think she is still doing TA work, but I haven’t asked. I can’t recall is she said she was the only one or some of two people in her cohort to be offered such a position, nor do I know whether those continue to be offered.
Gracie_whatevs Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 I was in the middle of applying to that school when I realized how expensive it is...already spent $27 to send them my GRE scores through CSDCAS so debating just applying anyways but god, it is so expensive I doubt I can afford to attend either
