Hi! Congratulations to all accepted students! 

I noticed that there's not a Facebook group or anything for those accepted and figured it might be beneficial to create a space to get a conversation going for incoming students.

Any information that anyone has regarding orientation and registration dates is much appreciated. Please feel free to post questions or just say hi

I will be attending Hunter in the fall for the 2 year clinical track. I have not heard anything since submitting my acceptance form, which was on 4/27.

Has anyone received information regarding field placement process/ filling out placement form? Or any updates regarding enrollment?

Just got an email today about turning in the information they need. I've been in contact with someone regarding delays in getting my transcript (as other campuses are shut down as well). The website is updated with the new field placement form, which I got an email reminding me to do today.

Has anyone been able to create a myhunter email address or see when the enrollment day is on their CUNYfirst account? I am having no luck in either. Every time I follow the format for the email address it states that its not valid when trying to set it up.

I had a similar issue! It turns out the that login ending for the CUNYfirst account is @login.cuny.edu & the login ending for the email address is @myhunter.cuny.edu

Thank you for your response. I am able to access my CUNYFIRST with no problem. However, I’m using the same account I used for my undergrad and it still shows my old CUNY school I attended and when I click on the tab “enrollment dates” it says I don’t have any upcoming enrollment dates   Very frustrating.

I have followed the correct format for the email but still it says that this email does not exist. I also never received an email stating to "claim your myhunter or NETid" either. So maybe I just have to keep waiting for them to send that first. 

 If anyone has been able to active their hunter email, have they sent out any information through the myhunter email?

Besides replies to inquiries on my part, no information has been sent to the myhunter email for me yet.

Does Hunter give financial aid packages? I contacted them about applying to scholarships and they said all incoming students are automatically considered but I have yet to see any info on my CUNYfirst regarding this.

I'm not sure about scholarships but if you plan on taking out federal loans Hunter would prepare a package for you (based on your FASFA) and then disperse the loans to you.

Just registered for classes today! The Facebook group was super helpful in deciding on what professors to take and I ended up taking 711: Human Behavior online, granted the fall semester won't be online anyway.

Hi everyone! I was accepted into the two-year clinical program last week, i'm super exited. I immediately accepted the offer, submitted my field placement form and yesterday I obtained clearance and immunization records from my physician and sent them to the wellness office.

However, I am experiencing problems trying to claim my CUNYfirst account. The administrator from the wellness office said I was supposed to receive some form of notification when the account would be set up and ready to claim. Is nearly a week the average time period for getting that notification, and should I keep waiting; or should I reach out to someone to get that expedited?

Congrats! I was accepted on 4/27 and immediately accepted it as well. My immunization records were already on file with CUNY, as I attended a CUNY undergrad school. As of yesterday, 5/19, I got an email confirming that I was officially registered with Hunter College on CUNYfirst. It definitely takes a while.

oh okay, thank you! Perfect, i'll sit for a bit. I just wasn't sure if that was the norm - congrats on your acceptance too, hopefully we'll all get to meet (at some point)!

Hi all, I begin class tomorrow and am really excited to get started! Does anyone have Human Behavior tomorrow morning with Osman? I can't find anything about that class on Blackboard so I can't tell if the first session is put off until next week or if I am missing an important Zoom link.

Also, vis-a-vis the HCSSW Entourage - I was a member and then suddenly couldn't access the group. I have a theory they confused me with a girl named Chana Lerner who was stirring up a lot of trouble and that admin blocked me when blocking her. My name is Carla Lerner, so it would be a very easy mistake to make! However, it's frustrating to be penalized for someone else's poor behavior. I didn't do anything wrong  and would love to be a part of the group again  Could somebody please reach out to the group Admin on my behalf? I'd be very grateful. Just want to be connected to the community! T_T

Congratulations to those accepted to fall 2020!  I actually applied for fall 2020 for the extremely extended deadline, but was not accepted. I applied for the deadline of July 15, and then it was re-extended to July 30.  I heard back on 8/20 for a semester that started last week, and didn't have an interview or anything.  I wonder if anyone has any insight to share on what might have been going on behind the scenes. Did anyone apply that late and have an interview?  It was disappointing to have the deadline re-extended, which implies that they need to add more students, but then not be accepted.  I am still really interested in going to Hunter, and I am going to reapply in the spring, while also looking at other programs as safety options.  I am taking a non-matriculated class in the social work department this semester.  I'm wondering if anyone can share any insight or thoughts?  Thank you!
