AfricanusCrowther Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Having found mixed advice online mainly targeted toward scientists, I was wondering how people approach writing cover letters to journals. In the past, I've written out full-length, four-paragraph documents that take me several days to perfect. Is this necessary? How do you structure your cover letters?
dr. t Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 "Dear editor, Attached, please find my submission entitled 'The Subtle Art of Basket Weaving' for your review. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Telk A. Nuru" gsc and psstein 2
TMP Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 *** yes, for the first submission. If you do get a revise and resubmit, it'll be an actual letter which you summarize your changes in response to the readers' comments (and justification for the lack thereof).
