GPA's at Top 10 programs?

Hey everyone,

I am a student at a top-5 program double majoring in History and Political Science.  I want to apply to a top-10 program (UChicago, UMich, Duke, UNC), specializing in Political Theory but generally am unsure how important the GPA specifically is for these schools, and whether overall GPA or major GPA is more important.

My stats are:

GRE: 170V/161Q

Overall GPA: 3.70, Major GPA: 3.83

LORs from people broadly known within the field, particularly known in political philosophy ... am working with them on my senior theses, so should generally be good ones.

Is there a hard cut-off at 3.8 GPA, and to what extent do places look at the overall transcript. For instance, I got three B+s in macro/micro/econometrics which isn't great obviously and weighs down my GPA, but does that at least look like I'm taking "real" classes outside my major? I just want to know where I should shoot for and what is a reasonable target.
