sambee Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Hey y'all, I'm an IT professional with 10+ years of experience. I current have two BAs, one in History and one in Sociology and Anthropology. Obviously I went a different direction career wise and now work in the technology department for a small government non profit. They provide tuition reimbursement and are supporting me as well as encouraging me to pursue an IT MBA since the management, business, project management side of things is my growth interest. I've spent some time agonizing over which schools to apply to and I was wondering if I can get some thoughts on the ones I've chosen. I'm also open to looking at different schools as well if you have recommendations. Please remember it does have to be 100% online. Thanks in advance, y'all! IT MBA Schools: Syracuse University University of Georgia Indiana University Carnegie Mellon University of Arizona Note: Sorry for reposting this to a different forum. I didn't get any traction over in the other area of the forum and I think I might have posted it there in error.
Quickmick Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I would think about what you want from the experience and find the problem that is closest to that while satisfying the requirements of reimbursement. There are some neat MBA/data analytics programs, pm me for a bit more info if you're interested.

So if Law School is the most snooty and Med School is the snooty (I define snooty as in how where you go to school can really impact your career in the long run), MBA is somewhere in the middle. That being said, your roster, based upon only on quality of career potential, I would only apply to: 1. Carnegie Mellon 2. Indiana 3. UGA Below that, I wouldn't even bother.
