lemonginger Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Hi! Congratulations on your acceptances! It is almost time we decide where to enroll for this fall. I am heading towards Durham, NC. Duke it is. Chosen the Sanford School based on the proximity to DC, concentration on international development and family members living near by. On top of that the financial aid is generous and living cost is on the lower side compared to my other options- DC/Seattle/Austin. Eager to know which school you have chosen and what are your reasons? ajak568 1
ajak568 Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Tufts for the Fall for me. I hope you enjoy your move to NC. I'm from NC (from Charlottte, went to undergrad in the Triangle area) and I love it. It's beautiful the weather is warm, it's more spacious, and the cost of living is soooo much better than a lot of places further North. Enjoy living in Durham! lemonginger 1
niceswing Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 i'm deferring georgetown and if they don't offer any financial aid in the next cycle then i will just turn it down, maybe apply again in a few years (assuming they stay GRE optional), or just forget about this altogether
InternationalStudent Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Oscillated a lot between SAIS and IHEID but ended up deciding on IHEID. Really excited about studying in Geneva and a little worried that Switzerland is vaccinating really slowly.
