MIT MCP Fall 2021/2022 Prospective Students

Hi all! Got inspired by the UPenn MCP thread. Making this thread to hear from everyone who's considering MIT seriously for Fall 2022 or anyone who applied to MIT for Fall 2021. What are your thoughts on the program? How was the process of applying?

Hey there! I'm considering MIT DUSP for Fall 2022, but unfortunately we won't be able to hear from any of last year's applicants because MIT didn't accept any new MCP students last year (due to COVID funding restraints).

I submitted my MIT application last week! It would be an absolute dream to attend, but I have zero expectations. Good luck to anyone else who applied!

Does MIT MCP take students straight from undergrad? Or low/no chance of admission without a year or so of FT work experience in the field?

 

On another note: I didn't know lack of funding was the reason behind the cancellation of last year's 2021 admission cohort. Assumed it was because the 2020 cohort was permitted to defer a year due to pandemic, and that so many accepted deferrals that there wasn't room for 2021 admissions.
