Oh gosh, just discovered this thread. Was still waiting on the outcome for Northwestern's MTS and Columbia's Communications programme and noticed that some folks already received acceptances. Does that mean I'm already out of the running for both? :(

I was accepted at Northwestern's MTS program. They visiting day is march 4. But you can assume that is a rejection. Maybe you are on their waitlist’

Ah, that is disappointing. Alas!

Columbia's basically the last programme I've yet to hear back from, and if the outcome is negative, it looks like I'll be pursuing my PhD in information sciences at the University of Illinois (UIUC)!

it was 2/23 noon! I think USC announced its waitlist today? Any news?

When you log into the portal, click on "My Applications" in the top-right corner of the page. It says the status of my application is "Denied." However, the landing page when I log into the portal still says the committee is finalizing their decision. Still no other communications from them.

Yep! But much prefer the PhD lifestyle in the US, where you have more time and freedom.

I received an email from Rutgers saying that I was the top of waitlist, so I would probably get admitted. Later, they invited me to their visiting day saying the same. So crazy lol

Has anyone heard anything from Syracuse after interviewing? I know they are only acceppting 5 students this year, but I was sooo amazed by its Phd program. It seems like an amazing school
