Got MIPP offer from BSIA with funding and MPP from Calgary with awards, MPP from Maxbell with no funding. Which one should I choose? I am new PR in Canada. I have worked as an academic researcher for think-tank for last 6 years in developing countries, want to go back to the same after finishing this masters or at least try for government jobs. I am torn between BSIA and calgary. Not very thrilled about maxbell, but I am open to suggestions how'd you confirm the rejection? Second round offers have not yet been released.
kalV Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Yes, I have already accepted BSIA. Mostly because of the fellowship thy offered and because of my and my partner's chronic health condition. It took a while to get hooked up with a doctor here in toronto. I dont want to go through lengthy process again after moving to another province
kalV Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 I actually received a rejection letter from them. I guess they have not considered me for second rounds

So far I have also received Laurier’s MIPP at BSIA and Npsia at carleton. Still waiting to hear my status about MGA at munk The MIPP at BSIA has an excellent reputation and is a great place to get policy-related research done. I'd go there, especially if you got funding. Look up their Alumni on LinkedIn to see what they've done and where they've ended up.
