Did they receive an abnormally large amount of applicants this cycle?

I have not received a decision yet.

I believe so. I got accepted yesterday, and the acceptance letter stated that "This was an especially competitive year and we had to be even more selective than usual in our admissions decisions." Just wait until next week, if still no news, it doesn't hurt to send the admission committee an email and ask about your application.

I was rejected ?. I got into UChicago, Duke, UMich, UCSD, and Georgetown. A little disappointed since I'm from LA so it was really the most convenient for me in terms of location.

I got into UChicago and Cornell

To the People who havent heard back yet:

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the Master of Public Policy program at UCLA. This year we received a larger number of applications than expected and as a result, it is taking more time than anticipated to release all application decisions.

That being said, please note that any outstanding application decisions will be released the week of 3/14/22. Recently submitted applications will be reviewed towards the end of March/beginning of April.

Again, I appreciate your patience as I work through this busy time to address your questions an concerns. Wishing everyone the very best and I'll be in touch next week!
