Vanier results 2022

Does anyone applied to Vanier? Have you received any results? As far as I know, the Master students already received their results

I applied, but still waiting anxiously! I know the Vanier site says "early April". My department site, which seems to be up to date, also says about Vanier that "the agency indicates that the release of funding decisions will take place on March 31" (though I'd guess that doesn't mean to students?). So hopefully sooner rather than later!

Good luck to you too master_shadows! I'm still not totally sure how to interpret that quote from my department. If anyone learns something new or has other theories, I'd love to hear them.

I've also applied for Vanier and waiting to hear back. No news/info from my department or institution yet! Crossing my fingers for everyone!

The anticipated notice of decision was April 6th originally. I am hoping we get results tomorrow.

I was doing good not thinking about it for the previous months but the lack of clarity on when we get results is killing my soul, haha!

Is there any shot if I'm on the waiting list? I can't imagine many people declining (I'm <5 people out from an award :/) ...

@HopelesslyClueless From past forums that I looked it, it seems there is a low decline rate. Someone mentioned 3%. Sorry to hear that you missed out on the award, and I know it can be super hard to be proud, but you really should be! That's an amazing accomplishment.

Yeah I figured, I honestly wasn't expecting to get so far considering I had no publications or conferences from the time of application.
