Pls, I applied for master program in petroleum engineering for spring 2011 and i was wondering what period i should start receiving responses (Acceptance/Rejection/Waiting) from the schools? Early/Mid/late October or November? Any idea?

I am an international student with BSc in petroleum engineering.

I just keep working and working on Wagner's application and there's still so much more to do. Any of you choosing to write the optional Visual Explorer essay? What are your takes on it?

Hey AO - I'm working on the Visual Explorer essay. Do you know (or anyone) if it's supposed to be one page single-spaced, or one page double-spaced?

The only spacing instructions (for the personal essay) indicate double-spacing, however the example I found by Dean Ellen Schall is about one page single-spaced. The question seems silly and technical, but makes a big difference in the nature of the essay.

As for your question, I really like the VE essay topic. Better opportunity to show creativity, more so than many personal essay prompts. Though I think this year's photos are recycled, which seems odd.

Hey there,

You're right! I just looked back at the instructions and it doesn't mention it. I just assumed it was supposed to be double-spaced. And yes, it definitely would make a huge difference in my essay. What's this example you found? Would you mind sharing it?

I like this essay, too. I feel like I can show a little more of my personality and, like you say, creativity.

I'll keep looking to see if I can find the answer, but let me know if you find anything out.
