oreo Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I hope that you guys can suggest some MA programs in Asian Studies (to be specific, AOS: modern China) that provide a financial package, most preferably for tuition fees. I know that some programs explicitly state that they do not fund MA students, but I'm hoping that I can gather some information from hearsay. I want to apply to a MA program because i want to spend more time on language and working with primary sources before I apply to a PhD program. Many thanks in advance!
kyjin Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 The only one I know of is University of Alberta (which is my top-choice for MA.) I talked to one of the professors there, and he said that all their MA students received full funding this year. Hope this helps!
zetetic1 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Is it fully funded if you're not a Canadian citizen??
kyjin Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Is it fully funded if you're not a Canadian citizen?? Yeah, apparently. I'm a US citizen, and was told that full funding was available.
WaitingImpatiently Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Yale's MA provides tuition + stipend to the top few students each year.
