Leesha Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Ok maybe I'm just stupid, but I just got an e-mail from UC Santa Cruz notifying me of my admittance and a fellowship of x dollars.... StudyMom Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 A fellowship is like a scholarship. It is not a loan (at least I've never heard of one being a loan). A teaching assistant or research assistant position means you have to work in exchange for your stipend and/or tuition reimbusement. A fellowship usually does not require work.
