Zitlange Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Hello to all and anyone! I have some questions as I haven't been at University for a bit of time now. I am currently applying for a masters in International Relations at NYU and am trying to figure out what to do for a writing sample as something from University wouldn't suffice, as I have been out for 4 years! So now I figure I will just write a paper from scratch, though am unsure of the topics to tackel. A little overwhelmed as of now and would appreciate some help Thank you!
modernity Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I think the obvious answer here is to write on something related to what you want to study when you enter - something on your topic of choice will best show your abilities/knowledge/etc.
Strangefox Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I agree with Modernity. The best writing sample is the one on on the topic of research that you want to do in the program. But... Will you have time to finish it? When is your deadline? It is difficlt to write a really good article in just a couple of weeks, unless you are an expert
Zitlange Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 My Deadline is January 4th. All i'm doing up until then is writing and studying. So i'm hoping that will be sufficient enough. We will see Thanks for the input!
