precious1 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Because I am changing my major from education to social science, I began to read and learn statistics. Now that I finished applying, I am trying to read journals and articles related to the research area I am into. However, my understanding of statistics is not good enough yet to comprehend them. How do you prepare for interview? I can't wait to hear from the schools whether I am accepted or not, I just want to know what the result is.

In order to prepare for an interview I looked through many related topics on this forum and made lists of: a) questions I should expect to be asked b ) questions I should ask interviewers (these will be a bit different for each school) Edited December 19, 2010 by Strangefox
newms Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) To prepare for an interview, make sure you are very familiar with everything on your application - your statements, writing sample (if any), resume/CV etc, since that is what they are most likely to ask you about. Also read up on the latest research of the profs who will be interviewing you (you won't know who they are just yet, but chances are at least one of the profs (if its a panel interview) you mentioned (if you did) in your SoP would be there). Finally be prepared to ask questions about the program and what you would be doing, who would be advising you etc. If they invited you to an interview, there's a very good chance that they are going to accept you so don't be too worried about an interview.
