Hello everyone,

I wanted to know your opinion. I have submitted several applications through applyweb's system. For one of them, I did not know the email of my recommender, so I left the field blank thinking I could change it later (instructions said I could edit them later.) It turns out that I cannot do this. Now recommenders must submit by post. I dont want that. Do you know if its forwned upon to submit two application to the same school using different accounts? I have already submitted an application to the school in question, so I am afraid that it would be odd/suspicious/confusing to have another application submitted to that school from a different account/email. The applications are for different programs. Thanks

I would suggest contacting the school and asking how you can resubmit information about your recommenders. Perhaps that is possible. I do not think that using different accounts is a good idea. It can indeed be very confusing.

this is odd - all the application systems i have encountered so far allow the applicant to add/delete/modify the list of LoR writers. if you are absolutely certain you can't go back and change the fields, it is better to call/email the gradsecs at the school to 'open' the form for you again so that you can make the changes. if this isn't possible, ask them if they can delete your previous application so that you can submit a new one. or, ask them if you provide the list of email addresses of the LoR writers to them and they can email your letter writers directly. this way the 'officialness' of the LoRs remains valid.

if nothing works, perhaps going the snail mail way is your best option. it's not that bad actually.

but i don't think you should submit a new application just because of this issue. it might look poor on your side.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll do it the offline way.  One of the recommenders will have to be interfolio, but oh well.
