Hey, anyone who also got phone interview notice or who were already enrolled. Mind sharing your experience here? I have a phone interview scheduled next week with a POI. --Nelly

Hi! I also have an interview scheduled for next week. This is my second time applying to the program. I also applied last year and went through the interview process. It was very casual last year, and I expect will be the same this year. Basically they asked me to explain my research interests a bit more, talk about how I thought they fit in with the program, and then answered any questions I had. It was not really an interview, more like an informal chat. Actually, both years in the email I received to set up the call, they were very careful not to call it an interview. However, I think that this call is used to figure out which candidates on their shortened list fit the best, so it's still pretty important.

I'm excited to have made it this far again, and I'm hoping I get better news this year than last. Hopefully the phone chat goes well. Good luck to you!

Are your interviews for the MA or PhD? I applied for the MA, but everything I have says my application is still pending. I didn't think they did interviews for the MA. Anyway, I got really nervous when I saw that you were notified for an interview, but realized that you could be for the PhD. Have you heard anything about MA decisions yet?

Mine was PhD. I think they go through the MA candidates later...not positive though. The wait for news on this one is killing me!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone received any update since their interview. I was told decisions would be made by Late Jan/early Feb. Last year there was an acceptance posted on 1/29, and I heard about my rejection through email on 2/8. So, at this point, I'm thinking it may be rejection again. But, I haven't seen anything posted by anyone on the results page other than an acceptance in the Communication Science program.

I'm still sort of clinging to hope...but it's getting harder each day.
