For example : Can an English translated Undergraduate Thesis be considered a research ?

Well that depends on the quality of your thesis. Would you consider your thesis worthy of being published in a journal or a conference in that topic? If so, publish your thesis then! That will help you out.

Question 1: In your opinion, if i don't publish it and just send it out with my application documents to the respective university, can it be considered a research ?

I'm from Bulgaria and honestly i have never heard of an undergraduate student publishing an international paper, so we are actually quite bad in that area.

Question 2: What are the steps of actually creating and publishing a paper, which will be acknowledged as such by the top 5 US/Canadian universities?

I really have no interest in research, but I'm willing to do anything to get into a decent CS Msc program. ( although many universities don't require research experience, there are some really nice ones which do ).

Yes, you can send in/upload your *abridged* undergraduate thesis as a supplementary document in your application. I did. Although, I rewrote my thesis into a condensed, paper-style, 10 pages writing. These adcoms have read thousands of applications. I doubt that they'll be happy seeing my 128-pages thesis.

You can start with sending your research paper into a conference (proceeding or poster). That'd be an easier way than publishing in a journal.

I'm writing an undergrad thesis on n-tier architectures and the importance of developing frameworks for the enterprise (100-150 pages). The stress is on a 5-layer framework developed by me and the profit and time benefits from using it + a lot more ( scalability, security , fault tolerance and so on ).

Can a paper based on that thesis be considered a research ?

1) Is the topic appropriate ?

2) Isn't topic too "practical" and not enough "abstract" ( although it has it's abstract parts ) ?

3) Is the topic good enough ?

Anything that is new knowledge is research. Whether the paper gets published is dependant on the quality of your work. What does your thesis fit under. Find out the relevant conference/journal(http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/home/assourav/crank.htm) and see how people present their work there. Check if your work is upto the mark. Condense your work to the main points and present it well. Then send it in and pray hard ...
