snagsby52 Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 I was accepted to the UC-Davis Ph.D. program in English. I will also be visiting next week. You should look at the virtual tour on their website--it looks like a beautiful campus. The building are all pretty modern, but it is that stylish type of modern architecture. commoner Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Don't worry. There are plenty of those 50s style buildings to boot. UC Davis is where us Californians take our pets when our vets can't figure out what is wrong with them. Of course, they couldn't figure out our problem either, but it was a couple of nice days off from work. Davis has a great old downtown area just off campus. Small townish, yet hip. And you are just up the freeway from the Bay Area (not to mention Sac to the east). I didn't get in this year. Maybe next year. Good luck to you all! c.
