Hi,

I wanted to ask if anyone has received admits in Electrical Engineering (Power and Energy Systems) in UT Austin or Ohio State University or Georgia Tech. If yes how did you get the conformation.

A reply is kindly solicited.

I actually called this morning and asked them when do they plan to send out decisions and they told me next week.

I see.... From reading threads on here and CC my understanding is that there is usually a one week delay from when the decisions are made and put on your file to when official notifications come out. So based on what you have been told the decisions should be made by now, which then begs the question how come the person you talked to didn't tell you the decision on your application? What did s/he say when you asked if they can tell you the decision on your application? not yet decided?!!

They said that it is not possible to let me know where my application is standing at present and that once they have the decisions they will let us know..... that's all they said.....

Admitted to Stanford, Berkeley, and CMU

Waiting: Cornell, UMich

3.8 GPA (UT) ; GRE: E 360, M 760; W 4.5... No research experience, 4 internships with top companies, good LORs (2 employers, 1 faculty), really good SOP; NSF GRF recepient.

Called them yesterday and they said that they have given the decisions to the graduate office and that the graduate office will send us a letter via snail mail.....therefore expect a decision letter sometime next week if you are in the US of course

Good luck

Is the open day for Harvard on Friday, April 1st?

The following website seems to say so.

Thanks for the info.

Does a letter from the grad. office usually mean a rejection? ..... I am new to this system. :-(

I thought that acceptances usually come in the form of phone calls / interviews or via e-mail.
