dudulche Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Seems like Berkeley and MIT EECS admits are being finalized this week. Good luck everyone! Please post your stats and area if you receive the good news.
lovely Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 It seems like MIT wants to make its applicants cry / wail on Feb. 18. :-) From 2010 it can be seen that most of the rejects were handed out on Feb 18. A quick visit to the following site should clear any doubts. http://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=mit&t=a&o=&p=34 lovely 1

storm Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Has anyone tried calling/emailing Berkeley EECS? Or does anyone know from correspondence with a POI when the notifications will be sent out? Thanks. I actually called this morning and asked them when do they plan to send out decisions and they told me next week.
dudulche Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I actually called this morning and asked them when do they plan to send out decisions and they told me next week. I see.... From reading threads on here and CC my understanding is that there is usually a one week delay from when the decisions are made and put on your file to when official notifications come out. So based on what you have been told the decisions should be made by now, which then begs the question how come the person you talked to didn't tell you the decision on your application? What did s/he say when you asked if they can tell you the decision on your application? not yet decided?!!
storm Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 They said that it is not possible to let me know where my application is standing at present and that once they have the decisions they will let us know..... that's all they said..... lovely Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Thanks for the info. Does a letter from the grad. office usually mean a rejection? ..... I am new to this system. :-( I thought that acceptances usually come in the form of phone calls / interviews or via e-mail.
