Mike Lawrence Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I thought I saw somewhere that someone was once given a 25-50% scholarship for Uchicago Stats masters. The comment made it seem somewhat common and kind of a letdown. Would y'all give me any information on what types of scholarships are available for these programs, and how common they may be?
bayessays Posted April 8 Posted April 8 UChicago's MS statistics FAQ currently says they give 10% scholarships to most people - even 50% still leaves a huge cost for attending the program, which is why the person probably sounded disappointed. Most people on this forum are applying to PhD programs and will get a master's degree for free, so any amount of money to pay would be disappointing when there are programs where you can go for free.
