English PhD Programs and Opportunity to Teach Lit Classes?

Hello all,

I am interested in pursuing an English PhD focused on Literature. Do you all know of programs that provide the opportunity to teach literature classes? For example, I know someone at the University of North Texas who was able to teach a literature class in their second year. This is teaching experience I would like to have given my field.
