pro29 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I completed my Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from a reputed university in my country (Bangladesh) this May. I have a cgpa of 3.98/4. I have been actively searching for teaching position but this subject is not very common in my country. That's why I still haven't found a job. Also I have always wanted to pursue a career in academia. But for that I need a vast amount of research and teaching experience. I am now planning to do a masters abroad. But I need a full funded scholarship and RA/TA opportunities for that. The problem is that I have become really negative and my confidence is beyond grave because of not being able to land a job. Companies don't want to hire me because I have a high CGPA as they have the mindset that I won't last long. So I don't have any work experience besides being an industrial trainee in a dockyard for a month. I don't have any substantial research experience as well apart from my undergrad thesis. Although I have submitted a research paper in a journal based on this thesis and the paper is currently under review. Is there any hope for me? I badly in need of some guidance. Because I am feeling so lost.
