BoundByAxioms Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 (edited) I've seen on the results section that several people have heard back from CMU's statistics department. There were several acceptances and a wait-list. Some people heard back as early as 1/26/2011. When I completed my application (back in November), they sent me an email saying that my application was complete that I could expect to hear back from them no later than January 30th, 2011, aka TODAY! I find it odd that I haven't received an email with a decision yet, and that the day by which they would notify all applicants was a Sunday. Does anyone else have this problem? BoundByAxioms Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 : ( If that's the case, you'd think they'd at least send us a nice rejection email. My application was fairly strong, but I come from a small school, which may have provided a disadvantage: Mathematics and Biology double major 770Q, 530V, 5.0AW on the GRE 3.74 GPA (3.70 Math GPA, 3.73 Biology GPA) 1 Summer of Molecular Biology Research as part of an Undergraduate Research Program at my school 1 Summer of Bioinformatics/Computational Biology Research at Washington University in St. Louis Medical School. Strong letters of rec. And I expressed an interest in doing statistical work in bioinformatics and computational biology. What about everyone else?
