sociology applicant 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 The results page posts 1 acceptance and 1 rejection which states that the decision is available online. But mine is not. What's your experience?
direshark Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Been wondering about that myself... The "decision available" is still grayed out on the main application page. I guess they're doing it one by one.
j.hunt Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Hey, I wouldn't worry about the two decisions available for UCSB's soc department. I work closely with a faculty member there and have applied for admittance. As far as I have heard they have not sent out notifications yet. Maybe the people who posted decisions called in or new a faculty member there. If you haven't been accepted yet, I would not automatically take it as a rejection.
aMoreBeautifulQuestion Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Just to get some additional info out there, I wanted to let you know that I was the one who posted the first acceptance. I got an email alert that a new application status was available online on Wednesday. I didn't actually check the website because they sent me an additional acceptance email immediately after. I also received a letter in the mail on Friday. I'm sure more decisions will be going out soon -- good luck to everyone waiting!
