s2k Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I was just looking through some forums, and someone said that the actual essays written for the GRE awa section are given to the departments, in addition to the score report. Wait... what?? Does anyone know if this is true?
snes Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 If that's true, I hate ETS. I can't see my essay but my schools can? That's along the lines of how you can't choose which administration's scores to send...you have to send them all. Why don't I just send a naked pic and get it over with? Geeze. DrFaustus666 1

The good news is, if these forums are to be believed, the vast majority of admissions committees couldn't give a ratt's butt about your AW score -- the only possible exceptions being programs like journalism for example, where the ability to write to a given format, cogently and intelligently, and in a very tight deadline IS important. Even then though, I would think that any journalistic stories the applicant had published would trump the stupid GRE AW essay. As to naked pics ... in my case, ..., wow, I'd rather them see my essays John Edited February 9, 2011 by DrFaustus666
