Did other people get a couple emails from them prompting us to create a login ID account and also check up on the status of our financial aid materials (if we were submitting them)?

Also, UCI notified around the 19th/20th last year, so we should be hearing somewhat soon, I presume.

Yeah...same here. That was certainly not a user-friendly experience. Also, when I try to log back in now to check my status I can't get it to work. It's too early in the morning so I've just given up for the time being.

Hi! I also got that email. And it took me about ten minutes to figure out how to actually login to that account...

Hi, I also applied to UCI. I haven't received an email yet, but immediately after I submitted my application I was given a website that tracks "Application Progress Review." Is that the site to which you are referring?

No, there was another email sent out yesterday afternoon about financial aid. I already submitted my FAFSA, which may be why I received it?

I didn't get that email, either. And I haven't submitted my FAFSA; you may be right.

Rejections before acceptances? (There are 2 rejections posted on the results board.) Is this weird? Could it be that they are *gulp* taking NO ONE?!

Do you see what this process is doing to my logic lobe? Do you see?

Just got my rejection email... about two hours after the last rejection posted.

I'm sorry, crimsonsneakers. :&

I hear there's no night life whatsoever in Irvine, so at least you won't have to deal with that.

This, at least is true (but there is nightlife enough in proximate cities). Regardless, sorry to hear about the rejection, and good luck to everyone still waiting!

Its odd--I have yet to hear anything. Either that's a good sign, or my app was so dreadful that I didn't even deserve a formal response.

Seriously. What is going on here? I'm guessing that those admitted so far just aren't on gradcafe...

Grats to the person who posted the acceptance. Mind sharing details?

No prob. That was me. Call from DGS @ 1:04pm EST. 5-year funding package (referred to as the "something fellowship" - I was about to pee myself and couldn't hear straight): 2 years no teaching, 3 years TAship (1 class per quarter) at somewhere around $17,000/yr plus summer funding for the first year (I think that's what he said). Offer to match other offers.

Sorry to be so flustered. I'm in shock, pretty much. DGS said an email would be sent today; I can be clearer after I get it.
