Southern Ca schools lagging behind everyone else

Why?

Perhaps this is only my perception, since they are the only schools where I applied.

I applied to several of those schools, and the only one I've heard from is UCLA (rejected). Both UCSB and USC had notified by this time last year...

When did you hear from Riverside and how?

I've applied to school back East and I have not heard from ANY school yet. I think it's just the English departments that are sadistic and like to take their time.

I was going to say...we haven't seen results from anything "below the Mason-Dixon line" as it were, yet.

I know, I am anxious about those two.

As for UCR, I sent an email last week to the coordinator because there was not check mark under "Being reviewed " or "decision available." I got an email back from the DGS saying that they had forwarded my file to the grad division for an approval for admissions. I got a follow up email from POI.
