Hi all,

I just saw this blog entry at SIPA's Admission blog and felt like sharing. Although the blog entry talks specifically about SIPA's way of handling applications and reaching on decisions, but I guess other schools must be reaching their decisions in a similar fashion as well.

Some of you may be familiar with the process, but for all others, here it is:

Good luck to all still waiting.

Thanks for sharing! Cool to actually see an image of how they separate the piles.

Thought I'd share this link (mainly for other Philosophy hopefuls) since UChicago did a really thorough description of how they evaluate applicants. Although I didn't apply there, I appreciated the detail with which they described the process: http://philosophy.uchicago.edu/prospective/admissions.html

whoo!! Thanks guys! love the links provided above! several thoughts:

1. now i understand how annoying it is to ask for the progress. and I would appreciate schools take it so seriously for all the applicants. (though i did not apply for this program). therefore. NO EMAILING admission committee!!

2. now i understand how important the writing sample is. I was thinking, i wish i read this before the application submission. I might do better on this next time (damn it!! i do not want to do all of this again !!)

so wish all of us get in one! :)))
