So here's an interesting question that I've been thinking about alot lately:

I know that this process has got me doubting myself in a very serious way, even though before I started I felt pretty confident in myself as a student. And so to assuage this lack of confidence, I've been turning to rather esoteric means of confidence boosting, like checking my horoscope on yahoo and such nonsense. Now, mind you, I don't really beleive in that stuff, but it does help to read that "You are in for two totally great days on the 11th and 12th" because historically that's when Harvard acceptances have come out.

Anyone else turning to 'non-traditional' confidence boosting measures? I'd like to know I'm not the only worried one in this group of academic hotshots!

If you're reading horoscopes, try Rob Breszny, he's my favorite.

Not to put a downer on this thread but it didn't work for me. Was promised good news yesterday and today (March 3rd and 4th) and was rejected yesterday from my top choice and nothing but crickets so far today......

Now like you I was just using it as a stress relief but it got my hopes up only to be brought crashing down to reality! What this application does to otherwise confident, hard working, well adjusted students!
