TC and UMBoston

Hey, guys

So I'm currently in my last semester as an undergrad and I applied to TC (Columbia) and UMass Boston for their M.A. in Applied Linguistics programs. My stats really aren't that impressive, so I thought TC was a long shot, but I got wait-listed (a miracle in itself) and I still haven't heard back from Boston.

I was wondering if any of you know anyone who was wait-listed from TC and then accepted. I don't know how great of a chance I have of actually getting in, so I don't know if I'm supposed to give up hope yet or not lol.

And does anyone go to Boston? I've seen a lot of people who applied to Amherst but not many who applied to Boston. Can anyone tell me what it's like there? They emailed me on Monday making sure that I was applying for their on-campus masters program before they sent my application over to the review committee. Does it take a long time to go over applications? I've just been checking everyday to see if I got in and nothing yet. Does anyone have experience applying/getting accepted/rejected?
