Funding a masters degree (U of Pitt)

Hello,

I was recently admitted to U of Pitt's MPH (public health)/MID (international development) degree program. I have not received any money from the school because the school of public health generally does not provide too much in the way of grants or scholarships and the GSPIA is holding my at a prohibitory status until I receive a grade of B or better in at least 12 credits of GSPIA classes. My question is, what should I do for funding? Should I try to find a faculty member to work for? Should I try to get excellent grades in the hopes of getting a scholarship or fellowship following the end of my probation? I would like to get a part time job to at least pay for room and board as living in Pittsburgh is inexpensive. Does anyone have any advice about this school or these programs?

Thanks in advance!
