everygirl Posted April 11, 2011 Share Posted April 11, 2011 Hi all. I'm Canadian, so I'm pretty sure the April 15th deadline doesn't apply to my schools. (I've been waitlisted at my top choice, unofficially rejected by my second, and have heard crickets from my other two schools.) Any Canadians out there? What has been your experience with April 15th? I'm trying to gauge how long after the acceptance letter you're supposed to accept or decline formally. My school is about two weeks after they send out the acceptance letter. tannerboy Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I got my acceptances about 4 weeks before the deadline to accept. So I got UofT about March 20 and U of Manitoba only recently. By the way, I am an American (also applying for PhD programs not Masters) so they may have made decisions earlier for Americans/Internationals since US schools do have an April 15 deadline. I've been quite surprised at how late Canadian universities are-- based on the posts to this website. My sympathies for having to wait even longer. I am done with the anxiety of waiting and now on to the terror of actually planning to move and try to prove that UT didn't make a stupid mistake by accepting me. Good luck!
