Sending transcripts and LORs

Finally getting down to nuts and bolts here with these applications. As I go to send my transcripts out, it seems unclear at most schools whether they prefer your undergrad school to mail the transcript directly to them or prefer you to send it with the rest of your materials?

Also, any thoughts regarding Interfolio? One of my profs told me definitely to use it, and that everyone does...but when I actually finally looked at the school's apps, they either have their own online system or want you to print out a PDF form to send in with it (also annoying because recommenders need to go through all these different systems...)

I haven't used Interfolio. *shrug* If you're applying now, then just have the writers mail the letters. No need for a service.

i'm using interfolio and ignoring the cover sheet business because it would require going back to all my recommenders with stamped envelopes, etc. and it's just too late for that right now. i can let you know in april if that turns out to be a fatal decision. i know for sure that there are several schools that don't care at all how you submit recs, but now i can't recall which ones.
