anese Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 why only harvard and bu? there are better american studies programs than harvard, are you constrained to the boston area?
TMP Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I saw your SOP (I think) on LiveJournal and I thought it was outstanding and very clear. I think you can expand your search a little more to Yale (really the tops for US history, fine arts, etc) and some NYC schools. They're within commuting distance if you're constrained to Boston area because of your SO or family obligations.
kfed2020 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Which profs at Harvard interest you (out of curiosity)?
earlyamerican Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Inside sources tell me all decisions have been made. Nobody's heard? Really?
stupor_mundi Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Living in Boston, I can tell you that neither Yale nor NYC is in commuting distance.... New York City is a four to five hour drive depending on traffic. That would be absolutely awful even if you just came home every weekend, and an especially large expense. Ditto Connecticut.
