poliscihopeful Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Didn't an earlier post say Tuesdays and Wednesdays are favorites to make or break our dreams? A bunch of coworkers have all applied to some of the same schools (is this a big negative for us all?), so we keep working ourselves into a lather with each passing day...
PollyTheory Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The UCLA Decision Status link now takes you to a Disclosure statement page but when I click "continue" it just has a generic message that my application has been submitted and can only be reviewed. I think this is a new development but could be meaningless.
AllFiredUp Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Today is a sleepy winter day here on the east coast. I think the ad. coms. might be ice skating.
plisar Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Today is a sleepy winter day here on the east coast. I think the ad. coms. might be ice skating. I think, unfortunately, that the app is broken. It has been doing this for about 24 hours now...
DrRockso Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Looks like nada before lunch here on the East Coast. UVA and UNC are still quiet.

adaptations Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I just checked the UCLA website. It looks like they made some new updates (other than just the consent form). That said, still no decision on my file yet. Congrats to the UVA admit!
plisar Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Yup, looks like UCLA fixed their app status checker. No decision yet. Congrats UVA person!
convex Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Looks like if we were all sociologists we'd know about a lot more schools. The downside? We'd be sociologists...
spark25 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Congrats to the UVA accepted! Did anyone else here from UVA or UNC at this stage?
poliscihopeful Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Nada! Nichego! Hic bir sey! I had such high hopes for UNC today...
PoliSci Guy Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 OK, so I'm fairly new to this board and I've just realized that my username is the same as a monitor's name! Should I change it or might that help me get into a good program??? BTW, I SWEAR it's a coincidence!
DrRockso Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Didn't hear anything from UVA or UNC today....no news good news? (D'oh, almost forgot...congrats to the UVA admit!!!)
catchermiscount Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Congrats to the UVA admits! Woot and double woot.
twright Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I would love to know who the UVA admit is because the rest of us have heard nothing.....
IRHopeful Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Count me as another UVA applicant who has heard nothing...
twright Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Count me as another UVA applicant who has heard nothing... That makes me feel a little better because you are a very strong applicant IRHopeful.
PollyTheory Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Another UVA applicant with no word. Why are they doing this to us?? Congrats UVA admit!!!
IRHopeful Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 That makes me feel a little better because you are a very strong applicant IRHopeful. Thanks, same goes for you. I've been anxious ever since I saw that on the results page. It's pretty strange if they've contacted one admit and not accepted/rejected anyone else on this board.
intapp001 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I also applied to UVA and haven't heard anything...
AllFiredUp Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 UNC folks, grab a seat. We're in for a long wait.
