max98411 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Hey everyone. So this is my first time applying, and I just graduated from my undergrad in May of this year, which is young by most standards it appears. I am of course always looking for feedback about my work. I mostly am a painter right now, though I am in now way set about that for future work. I would be very grateful for any comments of helpful criticism about my work. There is a link below to my senior thesis show. Yes I understand it is only my undergraduate work, and of course I am continuing in post-college production, but it gives you a general idea about the themes of art I'm interested in, and the direction of new work. I also would encourage anyone who looks to read my artist statement as well, and feedback for that is always appreciated. It has a somewhat scholarly tone as of right now, and I will most likely push it further in that direction. Thanks guys! http://eportfolios.cornellcollege.edu/art/2011/mwilke11/index.html
butterfingers2010 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Very cool...I love all the textures! I've been into collage for awhile and I love experimenting with different materials like you've done here. Honestly though, I don't know much about the world of professional art, so I don't know what advice to give you except keep following your dream. Awesome work.
gouache Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 For some reason your art reminds me of Dan Lam's. He's going to ASU, might want to check it out. dannlam.com
