rems Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I've been following this forum for a few months now (although today is my first day actually adding/posting anything due to me being bored during my office hours), and I've noticed that I never see anyone on here talk about Irish lit. Any Irish lit people out there lurking in the corners? If so, what schools are you applying to? What profs are you looking at?
bdon19 Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I'm not an Irish lit person, but WashU has a research area focusing on Irish Literature. I'd suggest you check it out if you haven't already! https://english.wustl.edu/irish-literature
TripWillis Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I've heard that WashU and UConn are both good.
hermia11 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I'm doing Irish Lit, too! I've heard UConn is decent, but I too am clamoring for advice on other places. I'd like to keep my focus on Irish Lit (esp. Joyce), since I'd like to stay distinct from the very vague "20th century British" as primary area of interest.
cquin Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Boston College has very good Irish/Celtic Lit programs (so I've heard, it's not my speciality).
